The Shape of Yin, Part One: Personal Practice
Learn the building blocks to a personal Yin practice. Create short yin classes for yourself to practice at home, in the office, or on the road. Students will cover yin postures, breathing and meditation technique, as well as light basic anatomy and injury management tools.
The Shape of Yin, Part Two: Creating Class Sequences
A single day Yin sequencing intensive for studio classes. Learn to break down the postures physically and energetically, while linking intelligent and creative sequences. Students will cover sequencing, light posture, anatomy, and injury management review.
200 hr YTT, or basic posture and sequencing knowledge, highly encouraged but not required.
The Support of Yin
Yin practice feeling a little stale? Curious about yoga props, but not sure where to start? Come play for a creative props and adjustments day! Part one- explore new ways to support the body for a fresh take on ancient postures. Part two- learn how to safely and successfully adjust bodies in a yin setting (both other people’s and your own!).
Students wishing to receive the full 30 hour certification will be required to attend all 4 sessions, complete homework, reading assignments and practicum hours. Practicum hours will be completed with Laura outside of the training dates. Students will be asked to attend one review meeting before assisting four Red Diamond Yin or Deep Stretch classes to be scheduled with Laura.
